Gular concrete patio that performs good, but has no visual appeal and a concrete overlay could be applied to it to add some flair. In the video below, you can see the concrete patio construction contractor applying the overlay with decorative design. It makes an ordinary patio appear like slate.

The initial step is to pressure wash the patio to get rid of dirt, grime and mould. There is a need to get rid of any paint that remains from these layers by using a hand mill. Following that, the company acid etches the concrete to prime it to be re-used in the second layers of concrete.

The acid is flushed away then the concrete gets amalgamated. The concrete mix is spread on top of the soil by using a Magic Trough. Someone else stands nearby with a the pump or water hose to sprayer to moisten the concrete during the process of being laid.

A line cuts across in the middle of the patio, allowing it to start sketching the pattern. This line will form is the remainder of the pattern is built on. It’s not about measuring, but placing in lines to make the squares to create a beautiful slate pattern.

When the pattern is complete When the pattern is completed, a darker, great concrete is mixed , and is sprayed on the concrete. Spraying around half the concrete will be enough. Next, apply the trowel of a hand to spread it over. After the mix has cured for around an hour, tape is removed and reveal a beautiful pattern.
